| "Voice error: Your computer's audio input is already in use by another application." |
|
Cause: On most computers running Microsoft Windows,
only one program at a time can use the computer's sound hardware (microphone
and speakers). Chat cannot access your microphone because Windows indicates
that it is already in use by another program.
Solution: Follow these steps, in order, until the problem is corrected:
|
| "Voice error: Your computer does not support the required uncompressed audio format." |
|
Cause: Chat is unable to access your microphone
because Windows indicates that it is not available.
Solution: You are probably receiving this error because your computer's sound hardware is already in use by another program. Please first read "Voice error: Your computer's audio input is already in use by another application." If you still receive this error even after completing those steps, there may be a problem with your computer's sound hardware. Verify that you have sound capability using the Sound Recorder test as explained in "How do I test my microphone and speakers?" GlassRoom |
